Marie Curie was born on November 7, 1867, in Warsaw, Poland. She moved to Paris in 1891 to study at the Sorbonne. In 1895, she married Pierre Curie. Together, they discovered polonium and radium in 1898. Marie won her first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903. After Pierre's tragic death in 1906, she continued her research.
