6. sınıf İngilizce yer edatları (Prepositions of Place) nelerdir? (in front of, behind, next to, between)

Question

Bu konuyu anlamakta biraz zorlanıyorum. Özellikle "between" ile "next to" arasındaki farkı ve bu edatları cümle içinde nereye yazmam gerektiğini karıştırıyorum. Basit örneklerle pekiştirmeye çalışıyorum.

Yer Edatları (Prepositions of Place) Nedir?

Yer edatları, bir nesnenin veya kişinin nerede olduğunu anlatmak için kullandığımız kelimelerdir. Türkçede "-de, -da, -den, -dan" gibi eklerin yerine kullanılırlar. Bugün en sık kullanılan dört yer edatını öğreneceğiz.

1. in front of (Önünde)

Bir şeyin ön tarafında olduğumuzu söylerken kullanırız.

• Örnek: The teacher is in front of the board. (Öğretmen tahtanın önündedir.)
• Örnek: The cat is in front of the house. (Kedi evin önündedir.)

2. behind (Arkasında)

Bir şeyin arka tarafında olduğumuzu söylerken kullanırız. "in front of" ifadesinin tam zıttıdır.

• Örnek: The car is behind the bus. (Araba otobüsün arkasındadır.)
• Örnek: I am behind you. (Ben senin arkandayım.)

3. next to (Yanında / Bitişiğinde)

Bir şeyin hemen yanında veya bitişiğinde olduğumuzu söylerken kullanırız.

• Örnek: The bank is next to the supermarket. (Banka süpermarketin yanındadır.)
• Örnek: Can I sit next to you? (Senin yanına oturabilir miyim?)

4. between (Arasında)

Bir şeyin iki nesnenin veya kişinin ortasında olduğunu söylerken kullanırız.

• Örnek: The ball is between the box and the chair. (Top, kutu ile sandalyenin arasındadır.)
• Örnek: My house is between the school and the park. (Evim, okul ile parkın arasındadır.)
